BTW, the Comma Eurodiesel 15w/40 semi-synthetic oil has 1400ppm of ZDDP for those running flat tappet engines such as the V8.

    Coil Spring for Articulation?

Hmmmm, interesting read. Problem now is I knocked the engine out this morning!:( Sounds like piston slap and oil in the cooling system so maybe a sunk liner? Don't think it's worth fixing, so if anyone wants some 4 month old Steel Mod wheels and Insa Turbo Saharas then make me an...

    the best oil???

My RR classic 3.9 V8 seems to keep it's oil very clean for it's age and I hardley every have to top it up. Unless it's a deisel it's not worth chaning the oil every 4000miles, unless your engine is suffering from exesive blow by. I use a 15w/40 Semi-Synthetic diesiel oil like Coma which is...

    Coil Spring for Articulation?

I have a Range Rover Classic 3.9 which I use soley for off roading. I have removed the roll bars and fitted NRC4305 coils (17.18inch,150lbs) on the front and NRC4304 (17.71inch,170lbs) on the rear with +2" shocks. My thinking was to keep the coils as soft as possible but quite long to...

Right, Lifted fuel pump cover and it is running constantly with ignition on. The '!' engine light on the dash as allways elluminated but when I remove the MAIN Relay next to the fuel pump the '!' engine light goes out. I checked the volts at the AFM and there is 12v from the main relay but...

    3.9 V9 14CUX wont start!

Prerry sure I can hear it priming, faint hum when I turn on ignition and play with fuel relay. Can also hear fuel in the rail. Will do a search see what I can find.

    3.9 V9 14CUX wont start!

Thats not good. The ECU light is on as soon as I turn on the Ignition, and I can hear the fuel priming constantly. So I should look for a second hand unit. Easy to change though arn't they, as long as I use my tune select resistor? Just wondering if a low voltage to the ECU could...

    3.9 V9 14CUX wont start!

I have had my 1992 Pre-CAT Range Rover 3.9 V8 for a few months now. When I first got it it started playing up, cutting out at traffic lights and then refusing to start showing up ECU light. I have been driving it a fair bit since trouble free until the other day it started cutting out again...

    Range Rover oils

Nothing wrong with Halfords oil, it's made by Comma which are a reputable oil manufacture. I use the Halfords 15w/40 diesel engine oil with high levels of zinc, ZDDP=1200ppm. Very cheap when I used a trade card.
