new gaskets ,head bolts,belt,and water pump in the post and while its off the inlet is having a good clean and maybe a lick of black paint:D.Also doin the sump gasket as it was like a sieve:confused:
the gasket had gone between cylinder 7 and the edge of the block which made it sound like manifold gasket i will try and get some pics of it later as its on my moms drive
just thinking that people say when you do an oil change on an old engine that you shouldnt use engine flush as it removes gunk that might be helping so thought i would check first
right got the engine torn down and found a split in the drivers side head gasket but the liners are looking good will put a straight edge over them tommorow.But what i want to know should i clean all the heads of all the old oil and make em like new or just clean the gunk outIf there cleaned...
from my previous thread i have found out its not the manifold blowing but the head gasket.My question to all the p38 gods out there is would this mean it has slipped a liner.Its a 4.6 with no loss of power but id did over heat about 2 months ago but not since please help god of the p38

will do its gonna wait a few days to calm down then i wll give it a whirl if not the lump hammer i think will suffice.how far away is the head gasket from the exhaust ports
it seems to be coming from behind the manifold lower down towards the head gasket its lost no power no other signs but sound poo and is gettin on my bits
