the gasket blew from the edge of cylinder to the edge of the block with no water loss or overheating so im guessing all will be ok

yes the heads have been sent away to be tested and skimmed

are you sure thedeck of the block looks like one piece of metal? if it does just re gasket it and put it all back together. you may have been lucky and got away with it!

put a straight edge across it and it all looks fine i am feeling like the luckiest p38 owner in the country at the minute
