Basically it's a double acting hydraulic cylinder ie the chrome rod sticks out of both sides. As it says above forklifts have used it for years. I believe that you can't use full power hydraulic steering on the road in this country unless it's for agriculture like those telehandler forklifts...

The tyres conundrum is an old questions. There is a sticky on the Discovery specific forum. As for the lift kit, My first Disco 300 had +2" spacers front and rear. Not only are they cheaper but you can also use the standard shock so you save there too. I removed the anti roll bars on it aswell...

Is it a 200tdi front one with mud tyres and modulars?

I read on a forum somewhere that a Supra one will fit. I cannot remember for the life of me which Supra or where I read it. Not a lot of help I know:nothingtoadd:

AHA! Another Benfleet Landy owner. I am on my 2nd Disco1. My neighbour who is Basher79 in here bought my first one and my brother in law, who lives opposite me also has a Disco1.

Just the holder, the terminals have rusted away bit I will take the connector too if it's easier just tp chop it off.

I know this is an old post but i've just acquired another Disco and my mate is itching to go green laning. I'm in Benfleet.

I know it's only a small thing but I need an indicator bulb holder for the front. I'm in Essex so I don't mind collecting to save you the hassle of postage. Are the wheels and tyres and snorkel available or are you keeping those too?
