I've never declared a tow bar, i asked years ago and the response was they expect a land rover to be used for towing. If course if they all then i say yes

I'm with flux and have renewal shortly so will ask them to clarify at that point, seems a little foolish if on a defender the towbar is extra, that half the point of owning one!
My point entirely to Saga.
Mind, the term " Dixon-Bate" had the wimmins scratching her bonce!

Just had an email from my insurer about my renewal - it's due early next month. I was quite pleased to see that it's £311, for a 2006 TD5 model for 12,000 miles a year. That's good for the current climate. The company has a silly name - 'Quote Me Happy' - but at that price I'm prepared to put up with it.

I was pleased with my renewal this year with the NFU, down about £400 on last year to cover 3 defenders and 3 trailers. Told a friend who was having issues renewing his defender he doesnt use for work just pleasure and they did him a better quote than anywhere else as well

If they are insuring trailers again then I am amazed.
I left NFU cos they stopped insuring trailers a while back now.
National Farmers Union, and they wouldn't insure a farmer's trailer. FFS!
