You Tube movie. High flight 1958

Lots of Landy's doing their stuff in 1965 Syfy yarn "Crack in World" about scientist who's project to use an atomic bomb to release thermal energy, of course it go's wrong. Mostly Series two hard tops to see but the Landy hero is a battered open top 88.

When my old Honda 125 caught fire as I was riding along [ things got rather hot down below] I was glad to do a quick bail out.:eek::oops:

    Rusty rear door bottom

Rails of correct section available from YRM. A mate fitted a gas strut on his, says it is nice door can remain open on a side slope or in wind. However when he opens door a bit off it goes flying to a crash as it stop, you have to hang on to it. It is of the type that fits at the bottom instead...

    Pre-Purchase Advice! Leaks.

I have done mine's intermediate shaft front O ring seal as above. Moved trans box back on two extra long bolts and then push shaft forward just enough to renew the O ring.

    Pre-Purchase Advice! Leaks.

If that is your only issue with a 20 year plus truck you are very lucky. Only a thorough clean up will disclose the exact cause of the leak. Also I think the oil has a red hue which says main box oil. Anyway it will be basic fix of gasket or seal, how much cost depends on which one. Most...

    Rusty rear door bottom

Did mine two years ago, it was much worse than that. The whole bottom rail gone as well as some of vertical ones. Did fix it in the end but a lot more faff than doing a front door. Looking back a new door would have been better despite the cost because it took me a lot of time.

    CLUTCH SLAVE ROD CLIP

Can be done but it is a right fiddle. There is a tool to do the job [see Youtube] but I have not ever seen one for real. A trick is to put rod into a bit of plastic pipe with the clip on. Pipe is just long enough so when clip is tight at its end a small vice/mole grip is latched onto the slave...

Series 3 bulkhead to chassis fitting

The doors are 34" so the bulkhead to tub measure should be 34.5"to allow for shut gap.

    nasty knock, any ideas?

As the piston is out honing it would take little time and be a benefit for new rings.

    12j head gasket failed

Classic fail that. Ran a 10j petrol for many years and had a couple of changes for that reason. Recon all there is to do is clean it up and renew. I never used new head bolts, just made sure correct torque sequence done in stages up to 90lbft [ if I remember right] but did do a retorque after...

Ignition Switch - Steering Wheel Position - and Starter Solenoid

You are likely right, new ignition switch needed. Mate had a 2008 model and his went faulty just getting stuck and not turning. As yours still turns a new switch unit can be fitted. 2 small screws hold it to the key unit. I think getting at the ignition switch in a 2008 model more of a faff...

    Identifying my swivel house

So the whole drive train as noted in first post is not all Disco. Recon you just need the repair kit for axle of your year and fit new Railko bush and seal. You also need to set the swivel pre load for it to work right. How to info on the Youtube.

    Identifying my swivel house

What year is yours? My 1990 Ninety doe's not have any numbers on it. Looking at your pic can not be 100% but recon your axle is a Ninety unit. If you remove the top swivel and find it fits into a Railko bush then that confirms. Have a look at Ninety and Disco one top pins they are quite different.
