If the starter is clicking then I would suggest the car is trying to crank it but it will not as you have a flat battery or missed of a cable or two, earth strap etc.
Hi,
Thanks for the information. Thanks for your help. I am sure it's not going to be something that complicated. My mate has a diagnostic tool which I am getting tonight or tomorrow so I'll see what happens.
Thanks amigo
No harm in running a diagnostic, personally I would go for Autell or Foxwell as they have wider vehicle coverage.
If it just for LandRover I believe Lynx is a good one. Whatever you choose just ensure it covers your model and has plenty of life...
I would imagine the ECM would need coding to the engine, but start with the basics.
There is a click ? Is it quiet like a relay if so check engine bay fusebox for correct position and fitment.

Have you never followed(often old Fords) a car and when it indicates you get side and brake lights flashing at the same time? It's because the electric will try to find a path to ground. Often it takes a long route through other circuits...
I tried in all key positions and then by starting it and the bulb didn't light. In a rush of enthusiasm I 'borrowed' the 'AUX' FL (also 30A) and used that instead. The car started so I have been able to move it so it no longer blocks the garage...
Easy bit first, fuseable link is just a fuse, often of higher ampage.
As you say the concern is how or why it blew.
Your investigations so far seem to suggest it is not going to earth, however the earth could be introduced when you try to start...
Morning guys,

Hi all,
So i have had my new to me discovery for just over a year now, went through the MOT no problem, just needed a new rear number plate bulb.

There will be space under the console for a switch, but you do have to be careful where you drill as there a few wires under there.
You can't just hook up to the main beam like on older cars.
Best advice would be to take a live feed from...
Thanks all. Going to start with Filter and LP Fuel pump. If that doesn't work, I will look at the turbo hoses for leaks, After that a gallon of petrol and a box of swan vesta I think :(
New Monroe shocks just arrived from Paddocks. Good enough to pass an MOT as mine are original, and are very rusted. Suppose I've got to get off my backside and fit them now.... Still, another bit knocked off the very long list. Might tackle the...

Actually I'd removed the engine bay fusebox to tackle a little rust. I was reconnecting all but I couldn't get a small white plug back into position. I thought I had damaged plug or pins but I called a mechanic friend who used a bit more force to...
