Was due to drive strata & spotted loads of motors heading that way. There is a small diversion route due to damage & been authorised etc by council. I do take photos of motors/idiots & have reported them. Normally stop & ask a few questions &...
You are right but they have enough evidence as it is in reality and you cant blame the council.
The 4x4 community are in general their own worst enemy, 10 vehicles and not a single person could see anything wrong with their behaviour. I have no...
Ok so theres more glue on my hands than there is in the tin bit aftet some stretching, pulling and pushing I’m pleased with the results, unfortunately the glue reacted slightly with the expanding foam and theres a slight dip where I’ve filled in...
To move on the window installation, I cleaned up the two sliding window catches. They cleaned up quite well, but unfortunately I am missing the two plungers. So if anyone knows where I can get some, let me know! To get this moving I used the ones...
Thought I would tackle the o/s glass channel today. The channel itself was quite sound as it was galvanised, but the felt runners were completely shot and a pig to get out!
After some fighting and swearing I managed to get the channel stripped...
Hi and welcome!
Sorry for your loss. Getting your dad’s Landy back on the road and doing a road trip is great way to remember him.
Lots of good advice and recommendations. Don’t forget to get an agreed valuation and classic insurance to...
Bit more tidying up. This was rusty and flaking everywhere. I meant to only clean up where my fuse box earths but ended up taking the lot back to metal.
Epoxy primered then only had half a can of black left so used some caliper paint
Re shaped the foam backing then stuck it back onto the steel panel using high temp contact adhesive, all the gaps filled with fire resistant expanding foam. Will trim it back and sand smooth tomorrow once its fully cured.
I’ve retrimmed over the...

If you've got the go ahead from your financial director i'd get the nice new one. I spent (and am spending) countless hours on it. I do get it about wanting to repair the original though.
I'm hoping to use the old foam, it seems in fairly good condition 😁
Boss lady saw the dash last night and said, don't bother repairing, buy the new one, stop being tight, it's only £600!
Still undecided, I'd quite like to have a go at a repair 🤪
Try watching these halfwits without throwing something at the TV!
Blatantly driving off track on a couple of well known routes in Wales and in general behaving like a bunch of feral halfwits.
Note the GLASS decal on one of them, reminds me why I...
Taken it out for a drive this morning. Cooling nicely, no new noises.
Only issue is a slightly higher idle than before. Pretty sure that’s just a screw adjustment. I’ll take a look when I’m wearing my scruffs again.
Found a nice flat parking spot for the night.
And had a good day on the lanes in wales. Friend decides to drag the trailer round to see how it is(done well, but you have to remove trailer electric to raise the suspension to highest settings)
Top up/fill up…

Kicked tyres
Power steering( looks like a small weep on drop arm)
A fixed a bit of tape to the throttle adjuster to stop the cable winding loose due to diesel vibrations
Loaded motor for few days...
