For Sale: 1992 (J Reg) Factory V8 CSW.
I've owned this for approx 10 years, but times have changed and it needs to find a new owner. It's a bit tatty, rough around the edges but has never let me down :)

Nothing like learning on the job, so to speak. A decent selection of tools, some workshop manuals and you tube are very useful.lots of good help and advice on here too.
I would not expect resealing to be part of a respray, and also not part of a re-chassis. it is a separate job that would have needed to be specified. I filled my gutters with white tiger seal to reduce the leaks. It is up to you if you dig out...
Wellā¦ā¦I found the rattle. It was a strange noise, more like two pieces of sheet metal contacting each other rather than a heavy clatter.
Anywayā¦.the rattle came from the n/s front. By sheer luck I noticed that the shock absorber had no threads...
Painted up the light housings because I couldnāt bear to put them back in like that. Will order some new plastic ones as Iāve had to punch a big hole through them for the wiring relay.
Replaced 3x leak off pipes which were also very much past...
Hi all, I appreciate all the help!
I did as suggested above, took the cable off of the binnacle gauge, the square stem wasn't spinning.
I took the cable off at the transmission end and refitted, I used some long nose pliers and a torch to seat...
Smaller but necessary jobs, fitting into the policy of "as it comes off its sorted" and some new brackets being made:
Intercooler bracket (above) with a fit check (below).
The rear body panels threw a small curve ball. Turns out there was a...
Today I did the massive long job of cracking off the big nut on one of my rear trailing arms... I thought I'd see how tight it was as the front bush is well past its best and needs replaced. It turns out the answer is not that tight...
This is just one turd that missed me the other week when I was doing the passenger side! It was five times as bad when I washed it, luckily it had been raining during the week.
New rear tailgate etched ready for primer along with some new heavy duty steel front wings. Have to admit they are so much stronger that ali ones, not that much heavier and shouldnāt cause any galvonic affect or corrosion to the bulkhead.
I had a session on the handbrake this morning. It's been getting less effective lately and as I suspected, oil has been getting inside from the transfer box. I'd got a new kit of shoes and springs so I put those on, and a new cable. I got a new...
Changed the radius arm bushes on the drivers side to match the passenger side I did the other week.
Had to cut one of the bolts off as there was not chance it was coming out.
Went back together no problem which is good.

They have a long power cable length normally ,my relays are on the upright by the radiator for easy acsess. Main power lead is fed off the starter solinoid, saved me going back to the battery.
Switching is done off the old headlight circuit on to...
Hi and welcome!
Yes, they all do that⦠and they leak, are draughty and use more fuel than boring cars. But you smile whenever you drive one and other Landy drivers wave at you. You donāt get that in a VW, BMW or Ford etcā¦
Righttt
New O ring on the Fourby cam cap + a healthy amount of RTV.
Also resealed the alternator oil feed incase it was that.
Also found the header tank almost empty š«„
Need to remember to check that... only downside of a watercooled turbo....
Good idea getting those LED jobbies off. Silly things that really don't do much, other than blind other road users and get coated in snow in the winter.
I like the look of Quadoptics but the Crystal lamps are as better at lighting the road...
Used up some old yoga matts, bit of carpet glue and some paint for some much needed sound proofing šš» works a treat still going to be noisy with M/T tyres but at least I can chat with passages now lol
Today Iām trying to work out the puzzle which is the lighting wiring on the 90.
There were some very poor connections behind which have been removed, but as 24 hours has passed since I took them off (due to torrential rain) I need to redraw the...
All sorted. Replaced the a frame bushes, bolts, and the rear fulcrum. I have come to learn that heat, angle grinders, and more force than you think are required.
All good fun!
