They look very acceptable, especially as the condition of rings and bores is an unknown, if it runs well enough for your liking, leave it alone and go and enjoy it !

With both wheels off the ground the half shafts are engaged with each side if the spider. With no torque on the spider from the transfer ring, of course the wheels simply turn in opposite directions...
On my P38A I cut the cooler pipes and used compression fittings and a new bit of oil hose. Others used a flaring tool on the stub of pipe remaining.
Sump can probably be plugged with Quiksteel. You'd be amazed what it seals!

I have a compressor. I still refuse to learn to spray it. Far too much risk of getting it wrong and messing the panel up. At least with a brush and roller if you get it wrong you can recover it by going over it again while Still wet!

Finally got it started, had a bit of trouble with getting fuel running with broken return pipe and stuck banjo bolt . Finally got fuel running to Injectors and it fired up first time. seems to sound good but still not sure.
