Well it would be rude not to spend some time in the garage on my day off, its amazing the amount of things getting crossed off the needs fitting list, exhaust, rear shocks, handbrake shoes and drum, brake lines, front calipers, clutch pedal box...
That will be the next step, check continuity from lamp output to switch, yes Diff lock lamp works. There doesn't seem to be any power to the lamp, so I'll need to take the fusebox off to check if anything is disconnected there.
All good fun.....
Ardcase. You have to store it once removed looks harder to get to pedals.dows not cover bonnet release cable lever.
X-defend folds onto floor, quicker easier to use.
Pity they can’t use an Oxford type bike alarm that if it’s tampered with it...
Find the colour of the wire that comes off the bulb and work towards the switch checking for power. Not many joins to check. I normally check the main bulkhead connections & then by gearbox.
Does your diff lock light work?
Could you use the...
Thanks. Sadly Horseshoe Lane has a Voluntary Restraint on it to drive it West to East. Think I'll have to plan to return at a quiet time and try it the other way round though. Bit of a lack of passing places if you meet anyone, so can see sense...
If I plan a route I never know if it’s good 1 way. Do look at contours when planning.
Make a few notes about sections & if there is more about being better the other way you can reverse the map direction.
Just need to remember road junctions &...
While laning this year we also did the famous/infamous "Bastard" lane, properly known as Horseshoe lane.
It's another one of those lanes you see people driving badly on YouTube and making a complete hash of it. You can see it on the ground too...
If you think about it, running both headlights off one fuse could be very dangerous, when driving at night and something blows "the" fuse, it then puts them both off at the same time.:eek::eek:
Took a break from the usual Billing show this year and went to Hevingham Concours with Empire.
Beyond incredible place. Shooting, Spitfires (yes original!), Hypercars, Supercars, JCBs and a hillclimb event!
Second fasest diesel up the hill...
Thanks for that. Even as a non starting pain in the backside she suddenly looks like Sigourney Weaver towards the end of Alien II.
Battery taken back without a whimper and replacement checked in the shop at 12.8. We will see what tomorrow brings.
I've had a go at the rear suspension bushes and ball joint. I last did them in 2013, so they've been good for 12 years.
I did a whole thread on this in the autumn of 2013 so I shan't repeat it here. Plus I forgot to take very many pictures...
Rear of HP injector pump for the fuel I . Spur is for the return form the injectors.

Todays sitrep, timing kit fitted, new thermostat and water pump fitted. New fuel injector pipes and front hubs all assembled, along with drilled and vented discs and a set of heavy duty steering arms. All in all a very productive Sunday.
