I don't know your car, but on Volvo's it was the sort of ratchet mechanism that advanced the counter getting gummed up that stopped it working. A wash out with contact cleaner followed by a little clock oil sometimes fixed the problem.
Based on my own experience ('87 3.5efi) failure of the odometer is a prelude to the speedo itself developing a very 'wavy' needle, which will result in MOT failure when the time comes. I've attempted to have mine repaired but the specialist was...
Interesting re the company changes and the timings fit with my order falling apart. But agree always pleasant and good to deal with and yes, have called the new mobile number on numerous occasions. Will try again next week and will report back if...
Hey all! Can’t believe after five years we’ve managed to join the dots on this!
Absolutely fantastic to see it! Thanks so much for posting. It means a huge amount…
Delighted it’s with a good home. I’d been trying to keep a track through the...
Drove past some of them mongs with a slurry tanker…it was empty but I cracked the valve open jus to let a bit of cow bum vapour out on my way past…I got the cants 🤣
Not quite, but that line of thinking triggered a memory!
They go under the centre tub capping - the one on the bulkhead - and rivets through the top capping hold them on.
So thank you...jigsaw puzzle piece solved.
Look at your fuse box, looks to me as if there are some random red and blue wires hanging around in there. You have red and blue going to your window motor.
Until you have a test light then it might be best just to leave it all alone before you...
Had to remove the front radius arm to do some welding, yes more, so changed the bushes while I was there.
While I was there I decided it would be a good idea to cut my thumb, burn my hand and arm and blob a bit of weld in my ear, oh well it got...
I fitted one of these

Seems nicely made. Cheaper models are available, of course.
If it's the TD5 you're buying for, it's a 16mm thread you want. I can't vouch for other species of Land Rover as I don't...

Swopped over the master pushrods and all is well again. Had some issues bleeding the clutch but got there in the end, all back together and a limited test on the drive has given me good rev and first gears again.
In case someone does a search and...
Have a roll along but it's heavy to work with when full, plus lifting it on and off the truck when going to fill it etc, I take two 25 ltr plastic drums as well
What about fitting a (removable) tank onto the truck. And a bit of hose to connect it to the caravan? Then you could fill it up and no humping it back to the caravan.
Weather is filthier than a tratterer down ere. Plenty rainyblow.
Funny but it seems regular here this time of year, just after swmbo's peonies flower. They gets battered.
