More an excuse then anything, i genuinely think my vans brillant but comfort factor and losing 80 miles a tank isn't really that big a deal at all on a 1200mile stint, and the van doesn't make v8 noises 🤣
And today, although strangely only on my way to work, not back. I begin to suspect low volts after a cold night as it only started after the temperature dropped.
AN stands for army navy. Its a very universal usage fitting style developed by the americans in like 1930 i think to be field serviceable, reusable and not need any special tools to assemble. Most of the stuff is rated upto 1000psi and 260 deg...
Great news. Went to hospital yesterday for colonoscopy. Camera right up to where splice is from tumour removal and all clear . NO signs of cancer only a non cancerous polyp found and that was removed. Slept a lot better last night :vb-angel1...
So this whole story started with my engine oil cooler lines starting to weep oil where the rubber joins to the steel hoses.
I had some AN8 bungs welded onto my engine and gearbox oil coolers and fitting some very nice looking lines.
Then it kinda...
Suppose that makes sense, front airbags were rated for a 10 year life (15 year side airbags). I can't imagine anyone ever had them replaced so even the youngest are looking at 23 years old.
It's probably beads of sweat falling from your anxious forehead as you look intently for the problem. ;)
When I first got my 2000MY P38 the footwells were so wett there was surface water like a puddle.
Stealer took it back and claimed the screen...
No. Straight connector onto pipe a nd then barb connector with compression fitting the other side. Then the reverse to get on the other metal pipe. I'll post links when I get near a PC.
Stereo slot access needs fingers like ET. Clips are too firm to get a blade in.
I thumped the clock, as per other postings here - the light came on - sorted…!
I am learning the LR way of fixing things: I kept getting an alarm that screenwash...
I have used stainless braided tap flexies as oil cooler pipes lasted about 30 years only changed as one had worn through rubbing against the battery tray on my Cortina.
No.
I went to the local hydraulic place but he seemed to think Land Rover were an odd size.
My main problem, apart from the cost of the Land Rover part, is that the pipes are more than likely welded to the cooler. Hence the plan to just cut the...
Yeah cylinder 8 bore actually looks fine form those new pictures.
From the pictures it does not look like any of your liners have slipped either.
You might have a coolant leak past the hg into your cylinders but its kinda hard to tell that from...
I’ll leave well alone, move the arm to vertical position, and tidy up the bits i can then reach (which is most of the arm).
It’s one of those mysteriously inaccessible items on Planet P38, like changing the clock bulb. Now that one really is the...
I used an Ezibleed kit with the spare wheel when I changed the modulator. I ended up pushing 3 litres of brake fluid through its bleed nipple before bubbles stopped coming out. After that I just bled as per RAVE.
Hello everyone!
I'll update you a bit with my work, I opened the actuator to clean the sludge from the coil and the tracks, I cut the 7 contacts. There was dirt between the coil and the stator that rotates with the actuator pin and the movement...
That's weird. Just checked Screwfix for the link and they don't seem to sell them anymore! They're not 15mm but whatever the imperial measurement is which is ever so slightly different. Best make what I've got last.
I've got a lathe so in theory...
i have never purchased or heard of 15mm imperial olives always just use standard ones, 5/8 is slightly bigger than 15mm so the pipe may not fit in the fitting but the fitting could be machined to fit, it should take the pressure no problem as the...
The great thing about the v8 is that a quick burst down the road and you're down below the filler neck. Any spilled evaporates nicely too. I had a hell of job getting all the diesel out of mine.
