    Gearbox oil recommendations

Another vote for atf over mtf for a lt77 from me. It’s cheaper and means you have the same fluid in pas and box so one less to carry.

    Correct tracking procedure

I know they have a bad rep in military circles and the xzl’s are regarded as much better. It may also be worth checking the manufacture date of the spare. As just because it is good tread especially if it is what it came with from the army it may well be very old!

    Correct tracking procedure

If it comes to it the drop arm I took the picture of on eBay was £18 and included a new ball joint. So if you are really struggling although relaxing a good part it will not break the bank.

    Correct tracking procedure

That’s what I get for not paying enough attention to the people posting! If you don’t mind me asking what made you chose g90’s? I did t think they had a very good rep and thought they were crossly rather than radial? Sounds like you have panels bushes, a drivers side brake and some swivel pins...

    Correct tracking procedure

If that is what yours is like then you should be able to lock the arm centred using that. below are some pics of the drop arm an box that I have out of the vehicle to illustrate how it work, from the pics it looks to be threaded so could use a bolt:

    Correct tracking procedure

Are you sure you don't have this. It is just a cast slot on the back of the arm, the new ones for sale still have it (image below from an ebay ad for a new one). This allows you to put a correctly sized drill bit (do not ask me what size) into the hole in the steering box to "lock" it central...

    Squeaky clutch pedal

top of the pedal in the footwell footwell you have the circular spring. Each end of this sits in a little plastic cup, and there is a plastic insert onto the pedal where the spring sits in the slot: Link shows the little plastic parts I am refering to. LINK2 shows a spring installations fitting...

    Steel wheel nuts!

From the depths of my memory I want to say it’s 170Nm but I will have a dig around my saved documents and check.

    Squeaky clutch pedal

What style of clutch pedal do you have? If the later flat bar type the spring sits in plastic “bushings” that can squeak as they wear.

    Steel wheel nuts!

I agree with the above. A wheel nut is a wheel nut. I run wolf wheels on my series and td5 and am In The same position as @miktdish with the studs half a thread short and have no problems. I have not bothered swapping to the longer wheel studs and the military didn’t either and just issued the...

    Drive Before I Decide?

This ^^ In a 90 you can carry people, things,, the dog. But only one of them at a time. If you need to carry more than one thing at a time you need a 110.

Help? 2.5TD bad oil leak above/near steering box LHD

The rear heated window switch should be down by your knee between the steering wheel and the door. If you have a fog switch there then I would remove the little three switch panel and see if the wiring for the heated rear window is still behind there and just unplugged. However believe the...

Freelander 1 Buy this and tow it behind a Freelander !

Exactly as above, a normal trailer does not have the novelty or fun factor, and again I have most of the parts to do it. i would need to source everything required for a normal trailer rather than just the hitch.

Freelander 1 Buy this and tow it behind a Freelander !

Because I will have a spare (replaced with galv) chassis and rear body. What else am I supposed to do with them? Plus there is a big “because I can” factor. That is the sort of thing I am looking to do although I think I will stop at the bulkhead rather than add the faux wings and bonnet...
