Only work with sidelights and I think ignition on too.

Check inlet manifold and EGR for being clogged too. I had one EGR that caused a dead spot as pulling away. Blanking the vacuum to it removed the problem.

Sounds like another loose connection. Check the engine bay fuse box where battery lead enters and the large fuse fixing screws.

BTW, I did a coolant pump without touching any mounts. Access through track rod slot in wheel arch. Fiddly but possible.
