Thinking about this, the automatic timing chain tensioner will probably have ratcheted to.tighten the chain and so lifting the cog now will be impossible. Not sure if you can release the tensioner without timing cover off. Timing cover off...

10,000 mile update. Lowest measurements. Front 6mm Rear 6.3mm Approx 0.5mm lower in the mid section than the edges. Pressure at 33psi. Will drop to 31psi. When 1mm difference front to back will swap around.

Fit new boots to old ones and keep for spares for when new ones fail. The heavy duty ones seem better. Originals are still best.
