You have to push it in through a hole in the housing. Think the key needs to be in the key hole and maybe turned to a certain position.

Ones switches the lights on/off the other operates the high and low.
If you used a Britpart cheapest version it may well have failed already.
Within the gasket set is a bag of rubber o-rings and copper (maybe) washers.
Anyone know what the o-rings are for?

Looks like a fuel cut off solenoid/tap some one has fitted.

I wouldn't do it on an internal thread but two of our injector pipe to pump outlet leaked so I used some ptfe tape.
Have to be careful with it obviously.
