Some good photo's there nrg, very inspirational and some very neat work too. Still have the fridge GH, however, I was thinking I could sell the fridge, drink the beer :beer2: and then use the cans to do the patching! Surely I have just taken the title from Noisy with that suggestion? Bow down to your master Noisy :praise:

What do you drink?

A lot of cans are aluminium!

Title hangs in the balance. Until you try welding after 10 beers ;)

swap the fridge for a 45 gallon oil drum.
(our local pikeys do swaps, and some are ok.)
better steel for patching, an the radious of em aint too far off wheelarch.....
then give me the beer.....

oh, cheers for the comments on me pics, was rushed an not me neatest. find i do a better job when it aint mine and i can set the timescales.
just wish i'd taken pics of other finished work. (tho i thought i had....)

oh the title is well and truely in the balance.

However..........................

Sell the fridge and then use this money to get a taxi to the city. Find a homeless person and give him the beer.

Wait a while and when passed out take him, in the said taxi, to a local bodyfarm and harvest his kidney.

With the few grand you now have you can upgrade your car and then ebay your existing one for spares.
Voila!!!

I win I win I win

BTW, has anyone seen a rough looking guy wondering around Fleet, I need to get him home so I can order some new kit this evening hehehehe

a homeless guy's kidneys? after all those years on the paint stripper youd be better off weighing in some tripe.

until someone actually posts a viable plan, i am retaining genius status.

thanks :)

Im impressed!!

very good job there, considering just the other day you bought the welder and didnt have a clue how to weld...

excellent stuff, keep up the good work!
you have rust in all the places my old disco had and I done the same repairs you are doing..

rear wheel arches, front wheel arches, floors, sills, rear x member.....

look \/ \/ \/

its official :)
only cos i werent in.

bring the disco and fridge full of beer to me.
i'll weld yer disco arch and quarter panel .
i'll have yer beer.
you tek the fridge home.
you fill it up with beer for when you want the sills doin.
job done.

Ah ha - new contender steps othe ring. Come on.........

We should have a Landyzone mastermind competition :)

You'll have to do better than that nrg, welding and taking beer as payment is any man's game.

Genius status takes more brain power! :D

So this fridge issue, well i say:
drink the beer
strip the steel sheets of the sides
make patch panel
then spike the gas system and attach to you welder as r134 is inert
retain inside plastic liner of fridge as makeshift bin for all the bits of disco you will be sweeping up
use remaining insulation in and around the disco as noise and temp insulation.
job jobbed i believe,

now pass me that crown please ;)

no chance mate!

the fridge is worth more as a fridge than metal! youre all barking up the wrong tree!

a genius would know this...

at what point can i not drink the beer?
ingenious idea to fix the disco on a budget while using resources at your disposal?

and he gets to keep the fridge for next time.
:p

but as repair steel, gas supply, insulation and handy bin to tidy up with too the comparison is better, and how do you know exactly that he doesnt have a scabby nasty old fridge that aint worth much? i think you are allowing your Cheshire roots to come through here, not everybody has a double fronted mock Georgian smeg in their kitchen for the "staff" to use you know,

bloody snobs:rolleyes:
