Having a few issues with my knee and it's not looking great .. might have to get an automatic if I want to continue driving, it's _that_ bad!
Having tests and an examination next Friday, and surgery is pencilled in for a couple or three weeks later, but this, if it happens, is to try and re-attach the cruciate ligament and 'fix' more issues that the last surgery didn't fix!
Sincere apologies, if anything changes I'll let you know, but I'd rather drop out now than closer to the time. We only just heard yesterday afternoon and have been trying to work round things, but don't think we can.

Been talking to SueW and a couple of others via pm etc, the upshot of which is ...
If anyone wants to lead, or thinks they can and will try to, then I'll happily pass on the lanes I know.. Bear in mind I last did them in about 2009 but later that year or 2010 they TRO'd a while load of them, including Mastiles and a couple of other awesome, well-known lanes.
I'll be happy to help in any way I can with anyone who wants to lead .. there's a chance, albeit slim, that I might make it, but better someone else prepares to lead rather than relying on me and me dropping out last minute ... and I'd rather be up-front about it ..

We do already have some possible leaders for the lanes and an offer to share routes from Paul and Mutsnuts.
I am happy to go out with a couple of friends (more experienced than I am) to try out the routes beforehand. But they would only be the non extreme routes.
If anyone wants to do some really hard ones we need someone who knows them and is prepared to lead. Top Cat might be able to do this, but we dont have any back up.
