Disco now more rust than steel and also has stream running through it during rain (which is every day in Ireland) so have upgraded to a Defender - which is what I wanted in the first place but wasn't allowed.

OK - quick (and probably stupid) question.

Defender is 90 300 TDi (possibly CSW, possibly not) made in 1995.

The cigar lighter is low down (virtually on the floor) in front of the gear stick below the warnings and instructions about diff lock etc.

Next to it there is a black knob/switch with a yellow spot on the end that pulls out.

Anyone any idea what it does? (Just wondering).

Unusual place for cigar lighter - usually just below parcel shelf

Your switch - ejector seat? rear windscreen wiper? Take it nothing happens if you pull it?

Sorry - not got one on mine:rolleyes:

As Sam says - photo?

As it's an aftermarket modification it could do anything. Is it an electric switch or a vacuum/air operated switch?

On left is lighter (with my charger plugged in) and on right is mystery switch. Nothing (that I know of) happens when I pull it.
