Hi all,

I am new here and was hoping someone might be able to help me. I have just moved to round the Peterborough area and spotted a quarry which seemed to have 4wd going on just near Yarwell.

Does anyone know whether you can book this to arrange a days driving? Or is there an owner/company that you need to go through?

Just quite interested in setting up a day somewhere nearby for a few friends.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Apologies for putting this in the general area - not quite sure where venues etc fit yet - probably missing something obvious.

Welcome to the forum.

I was at Yarwell yesterday and it was great - the best off road site near Peterborough.

Are you on Facebook? Join a group called Yarwell Off Road Days - that is the main group for the site and they post the dates the site is open (normally Sundays).

The other site operated by the same group is Tixover - the opening dates for Tixover are also posted on that Facebook page.

The next date is the 27th Jan - it is £25 to get in.

Thanks for that Aliv - will take a look at the facebook.

Do you know if they will rent it out for private events too? I take it the admins on the facebook are the owners then?

I am not sure who the owner is but the admins can certainly point you in the right direction.

Yes... you did, if you go to the bottom of the main forum there is a section for off-road sites, overland touring and green laning


But don't worry, out of all the places, this was the second best choice!


You might also want to visit the "introduction" section and make a formal "hello" in there. It's considered the polite etiquitte on here

It's a good course, in order to book something, as far as I know, you need to contact these guys (I could be wrong - though I am fairly sure.) If not they will definitely tell you who will.
