Right, 4.3 is up and running taken it for a few gentle runs not exceeded 2500RPM, ok a couple of times at full throttle, and I reckon its about 8MPG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Enigne is running a little rich granted, and tuned (stage 3 heads, stealth cam, weber 500 - roller rockers etc...)

Is this taking the p1ss?
Much are you getting from yours?

mine is currently just evaporating as its got a hole in a fuel pipe so 0mpg lol

you probably just need the carb tunned

round town they are only about 7-13 , if its running rich its amazing how much they can consume.

before we set up the carbs on the gas analyzer i reckon I did a tank in 50 miles lol :p

My mates mkII jag 3.8 just did half of both tanks in one run of about the same , hes borrowed my colourtune and carb ballencer today :p

24 on a run 6 when thrashing and the best it has done when towing is 357 miles to a tank with a 1.5 ton trailer behind me all the way to scotland in feb

If I'm heavy on the loud pedal about 8mpg but have managed to get 20mpg on a long run.

Ingition was not advancing enough (used half vac on carb, now on full vac), and pump jet on carb was set on maximum - both changed now much, much better!!!!

what power you expecting to make, 250hp?

Target was 300bhp, Done alot to get there:

High ratio roller rockers (Titan motorsport red)
Stage 3 heads - tripple ground seats (10 bolt)
comp ratio 10:1 decked block
ported inlet manifold
TVR 4.3 crank fully ballanced
V8 developments stealth cam
double valve springs
vernier pulley

...But Due to block hugging manifolds been quite poor... I recon around 280 (ish)

Goes like a riot..... Especially with drum brakes and leaf springs!!!!!
