Lz at its best......well done guys for helpin sarah. Im glad this has been sorted before anything bad happened :)

A HUGE +1, only just seen this, and :eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: dun't even begin to sum it up, hope you get it all sorted, and Dave back on the road a.s.a.p. ;););););)

Still haven't had a call back from trading standards and called them again, only to be told that it could be another 48 hrs before I get a call back. Tried the leeds no. and they just put me straight thru to the consumer direct no.

This is getting very frustrating!! No wonder these bloody crooks get away with stuff.....

Christ that's bad.

A word of warning though, don't expect too much from trading standards. When I got ripped off by a Mazda dealer all they said was 'can you let us know how you get on'.

Oh, and if you go to the dealership be careful, I ended up getting arrested (but that's another story)

Steve

had a mate done the same thing with AUDI dealers in colchester,
got arrested to I believe, as his posh audi diesel broke its faulty chain drive oil pump at speed on a motorway - oops - fecked engine
matey parked up outside the dealers with a huge roof mounted sign, balloons all over the car, and was handing out fliers too.
AUDI decieded it was hurting the brand name !!!

I quite like the sound of that-balloons ,fliers ,roof mounted signs:D
...but not police:eek:

There's not enough protection for consumers, would it be worth getting on to watchdog team think they still do stuff? At the very least a call to the CAB would be prudent.
I've had a rubbish run of luck with my Landy, and it has been helped loads by all the guys on here, even a LZIR call out for my smashed up wheel bearing, allegedly done at the garage a month prior but was full of water, yet I'd not been off road in that time. Such a shame some garages are this way
I really feel for you!

I wonder how long it would take for this company to go out of business when its name is published
because it wont just be lz that gets the heads up every 4x4 forum will
we as a collective can drive this sort of trader out of business just by the click of a mouse
shame they did not think of that when they soled such an unroadworthy car
also wonder if the mot was valid so that garage would also be in ****

Agreed.

We need to wait for the OP to give us the nod and we can post the pictures and the name of the garage all over the internet.

Actually I think you are wrong.

If this place are reasonable and fix Dave I think we should not shame them anywhere.

Give them a chance to make it right, if they don't, then do your worst

reasonable? theres nowt reasonable about knowingly selling a death trap motor for probably strong money.

i can't see them being reasonable, could be wrong.

having said that they should of course be given the option of putting things right for sarah.

The only reason I have not named and shamed is because I think Sue has a point. I have to give them chance to put it right first.

i get what your all assaying and i agree. Give them a chance but you need to be firm and direct about what you expect them to do and the time frame in which it is done.

If they are not throwing straight dice at all you need to shout from the tree tops.

Excuse my french but; Fcuk them! they were the ones whole stole your money, sold you a very badly repaired car and the moment you drove it off the forecourt they would have looked at each other with raised eyebrows and said "thank fcuk for that!" because they will have know they sold you up the river.

I agree with not naming and shaming them yet.

Better to see what their reaction is first.
