I have a 300tdi disco engine in my defender. The air filter housing (black can with screw cap end) is the type bolted onto the engine with the two head bolts and two retaining metal straps. I've been given an air filter here with a white plastic cup thingy on the end of it with fins - but it's about 3 inches too short. What is this filter supposed to go on????

Part # ESR2623 is what you want for a 300tdi defender.
did you not use the disco airbox then? not sure what you have. sounds like the one I used to have in my old 2.5 n/a
