I won't be able to make these dates but will in the new year. You still got the Meriden site? Would be nice to organise a LZ get together

Yes we do, but at the moment the weather isn't being kind to that site.

We have to be careful not to destroy it with over use.

This Wales site is largely a slate base with peat and moss on top. So very exciting and varying grades.

With extreme winching and wet peat bogs to gentle gradients and hill climbs.

There really is something to entertain every ability.

The actual Gwyn Lewis has expressed an interest in coming along for the November weekend.
We'll see what he makes of it.

This gives a little more detail of the site.

Bomber lane runs from centre bottom to centre top of the picture.

We have use of the wedge shaped forest on the right, and the forest on the left of the lane.
As can be seen, there are plenty of tracks and serious amount of forest to drive around.

The white route top left is a tarmac road that runs from llwyngwril (left) off the main A493 Tywyn coast road to Dolgellau. (top left)

I'm getting more and more tempted to come. Just The long drive that's putting me off

How many times do you get to drive somewhere where we're not usually allowed to drive ?

Come on, bugger the miles, cracking place, cracking group of lads
, fire , bbq, camping, beer, cake and Land Rovers....... The perfect weekend :)

looks nice..

Know the area well have rambled  and climbed in that area quite a bit.

He did time??? Gwynn Lewis manufacturer of off road parts. Got a bit of his gear on mine.

Basically because he didn't give a toss what happened as long as people paid.

The air ambulance was always on site for broken bones and air lifts and that made him rather unpopular with the authorities.

Tom's farm and not Gwyn Lewis of course.
