well they said they will collect it and send it to their engineering company for testing then replace it if its a fault thay sad they have had a couple of people ring today saying the same thing ..
and that they have not had any complaints before .
 
They would say that though wunt they!

Good luck and make sure you take everything personal out afore they pick it up.

Well guys ive had two recon vcu's from Freelander Spares Uk for mine and my wifes and they were spot on,They serviced my Td4 and can not fault there company.:)
 
they said excatly the same thing to me one thing if they do not do what they said they are go to do I will sue I have a friend who is a barrister also I had to pay some one to get it of for me as I suffer from a bad back seriously and then I will have to pay to get it put back on to much of a coincedent 4 of us with vcu's from the same place I had mine at the end of August last year I wonder when the others had theirs
 
just to add I will keep you all updated what goes on and if the do as they said (freelander spares) I will take my hat of to them after all they are just the suppliers it could be some idiot where they get them from
 
well i got mine in may last year and will be sending it back next week so i wiil keep you posted too

And to update my experience, I have had a reply from FreelanderSpares and it would seem that the situation will be resolved to my satisfaction.

Things go wrong, products fail, things get missed - sh*t happens basically. Its rarely the sellers fault and I have always believed that it is how a company handles a problem after it has been identified that counts for a lot more than the initial problem.
Their proposed resolution keeps me happy and redeems the original screw-up.
 
its funny how the two folks on this thread with positive things to say about this company have very low post counts and seem to be unknown by any other members, maybe im just a suspicious old bugger but you have to wonder?!?!
