Slippery

Ok after playing in the water this weekend my breaks are now worn out after only 1.5 years , 6000 miles and one days green laining. :(

So I'm looking at a set of new shoes and my questions are.
1. How long would you expect to get out of a set of shoes "1.5 years, 6000 miles and one days green laining"?
2. Should I get Padds / Brit parts (£45 referb kit) again or go for original fit?

Are you saying they're 'suddenly' worn out? You sure they don't just need a good clean up?

If there's plenty of material left on them a good clean up (maybe with petrol) might do the trick.

sometimes they glaze over after a few years....if they still got sum meat on em, just roughen em up a bit with sum coarse sand paper

Nope the two back breaks have at the most about 1mm of pad and I now cant get enough adjustment on the cams to set them up correctly and my pedal takes a couple of pushes to pump them up.
Also a whole load of fine gray slurry came out when I took them off.

i always go fer after market pads, but the sintered wuns, they dunt fade and are excellent in water

clean your drums out after greenlaneing the mid eats its brakes.

Aye we finished off with a ford for that very purpose but i think the damage was done earlier in the day.
We did no more that 30 miles the whole day but it F*** me shoes.
