Worn drivers seat base
What's the most common solution to this common problem I wonder? She's starting to look like a transit van!

Find a good second hand replacement and change the whole seat, about 10 mins work.

Cheers

I would opt for a new one if your keeping the vehicle , plenty to choose from exmoor trim aren't too bad on price , and if your sat in it a lot well worth the investment

(D1??)

I'm sure I've seen somewhere selling new foam base thinggies? maybe egay???]

or find another seat & swap??

I picked up a set of leather / electric (& maybe heated??) D1 300 seats for my '200tdi, but they need 300 base / mounts aswell as wiring, beware of possible mix&match issues o_O

Rich.

More info, on my phone last message.
Look at the pictures on Exmoor trim site. The uprated diaphragm is extremely superior and has extra springs.
Fitted one to my old Disco 1 without renewing foam base and there was a fantastic difference.
Not expensive and I do recommend it.

From memory the cover is either elasticated or string tensioned.
Easiest way is to remove seat assembly altogether. About 10 minutes work.
My old diaphragm had split along the rubber. I punched a series of parallel holes and used cable ties as a temporary measure till I got a new diaphragm. It's only held with clips to the frame.

My cloth has worn through so can't reuse

Think jean rivets catch as drivers slide off of side of seat when disembarking
