Hi all

I have been working on my father-in-laws 67 serise 2a and have acouple of questions.

1. Can i put a soft top on the rear of an 88" with a cab on?
2. Do i need to use a special primer to paint the aluminium pannels (if so where can i get it?)

All help greatly apreshated.

1. yes, ebay a good source of bits.
2. yes, i got mine from B&Q

I have a soft top and the sticks but i cant see how it would fit as the cab fits over the stick holes at the front.. Is it etch primer needed for aluminium?

you have sticks for a full tilt and you want to fit a 3/4 tilt by the sound of it

Not sure what the paint was called, just asked one of the so called specialists for primer, for aluminium.?

Are the sticks different for a 3/4 soft top? anyone got any pics of how they work?

Painting aluminum
1st Etch primer
2nd Normal primer (like standard gray primer)
3rd Top Coat.

You can get them all from pads / crads.

Ps
Just got 1ltr of each delivered from padd today so I'm off to paint my bonnet.

Painting Aluminium: Hammerite Special Metals Primer works ok for me.
