drove strait into garage leathered off closed door and put it to bed?.
Goes to it this morning put key in turned over perfect usually start's first turn this morning turns over but does
not fire no warning lights come up put my code reader on no faults apart from one on audio system any Idea's
L322 V8 2005

Hi
Just come in out of workshop ,checked for spark OK ,cannot here any noise from pump going to check
relay now also no fuel at rail pressure valve ? it's pointing to pump but will check electrics first

Hi checked fuse first perfect ,as for code reader basic hand held but I do have a gap iid tool which when I read more of the
workings of it I will put that on no good me doing so if I don't know what to look for ?? Thanks

Hi, when I checked spark after turning over a while plugs where bone dry but good spark
I suspect pump as cant here any noise ,but do they normally just pack up it ran perfect
yesterday and has done for over 18 months (and yes there is fuel in it?)

does the immobiliser turn the fuel pump off? I'm not sure on this
is the relay working? swap it with another one you can test, eg relay for the horn, then see if the horn still works

thanks for replies tested every thing out all lead to pump, on pump electrical block the blue and white
wire seems to be he power feed to pump and brown earth can I put a direct wire to these from a battery
to see if pump runs to eliminate or prove pump is at fault ???

I thought you couldn't hear it?
Also no pressure at the rail is a good indicator.
My money is on the pump but worth checking the power and ground circuits first

Hi done all the testing I can on wires on pump and noway does pump make a sound ?
Now another thing as prompted me to ask this, car is duel fuel ie petrol / lpg now when car reaches temp i cuts in to gas
is there any way it could have stuck in gas position and shut fuel of I don't know how the gas side works in this respect?
I know I can turn of gas on dash so it runs only on petrol I am most probably clutching at straws but I would rather be certain
as I have got a new pump ordered and if it does the same when fitted got to find other possible fault .
Also I have connected power direct to pump from a battery on the two wires feed and earth and not a `sound ?

the pump should still be on to keep the rail pressurised so that when you switch back from petrol to lpg its instant
if you have power to the pump but the pump isn't running, that looks like a clue to me, assuming you have also checked the earth. is it switched live or switched earth?

I have checked continuity of earth and power supply both ok and only live when ign on
going to fit new pump when it arrives but will do quick test before fitting will let you know what happens
Thanks
