Help again please, just about finished my 200tdi (Disco) into a 90 conversion and have come to a dead stop with the wiring, my old wires in the engine bay are all melted, I managed to connect most of the wires using the colours but I have two large brown wires that I can't figure out what to connect them to, nothing on the disco matches them. I have managed to salvage the old plug off the old loom so that is pluged in on the bulkhead and am trying to use that. Anyone help ? Photos would be good if poss as i've not a clue when it comes to leccy stuff !
Thanks.

If they are solid brown wires (I.e. no trace colour) they should be unfuse live. Saying unfused is a bit misleading because they are actually fused, only with very big fuses in the engine bay fuse box.

Typically, the main battery wires will be thick red to the starter, then another from there to the engine bay fuse box, then brown to go inside the cab to the main fuse box. They could be something to do with the alternator I guess, but if that's already wired and there are spare, I'd be looking for what's missing from the engine bay fuse box.

Thanks lads for your help but I'm still stuffed, just can't figure out what the two thick brown wires go to !

They could be the feeds to the fuse box from the back of the starter solenoid, early 90 wiring used Brown as live feed
