hi i have just bought a winch off my mate, but i had to buy a new controll for it, so i went for a wireless one :) but it came with no wiring diagram, can anyone help wiring this up as never done it before lol

email the supplier for the diagram?

If you wire it up wrong you could well damage yourself and/or your truck.

who did you buy it from?

what make is the wireless controller ?..pls dont say its one of those ****e winchit ones ?
are you running internal or external solenoids?

hopefully it aint this one

yes the wireless controller came from flebay but the winch came from a freind who is quittin the off road scene, it is a bushley hill winch and external solonoids

i have 2 winch's from winch-it and both good winch's
all winches from winchit are cheap chinese imports..
my mate went thru 3 on his discovery in the end the guy said he wouldnt replace it again as it had clearly been subjected to mud and water:eek:

wot do they expect u to do with it?
i even collected from the guys house the 2nd time and his store was just full of boxes of imported winches, when you get talking to him he just places an order enough to fill a container and then imports them at a very cheap price i should think.

the wireless remotes were prone to failure and never worked at the distance they claimed..

an external solenoid is a lot easier to wire in a remote/or hard wired switch

my advice wire in a switch on yr dashboard
use a electric window switch from a discovery and its a piece of **** to wire in,and you can still wire in yr remote for wandering, atleast this way if/when the wireless fails you still have the internal switch

the switch is on the right of the centre pod

No
No
NO, WL

Never rely only on a sillynoid or relay.
They are subject to arcing and shorting out.
ALWAYS use a master cut-off switch in the power line.

Coz yu said use a leaky window switch - yu can only use that to switch low current items - certainly not the current a winch draws.

Azopoleez if I misunderstood - am in the midst if a cold/flu :(.

the switch goes no where near the main feed..

it is only used to switch the power exactly the same as if u were using a wanderlead remote it acts in the same way and is not using the current drawn by the winch

the cut off switch is on the main live feed, you dont have a cut off switch on any external switches or wanderleads
