Hi there all i have alittle problem here. I am a little bit mechanically minded on basics but am having trouble with my wipers on my 88 ninety. When i switch them off they stop where they are and do not self park. Any ideas.
Many thanks P.

Thats what they're supposed to do, theres no 'auto-return' or whatever you want to call it, as soon as you stop them, the power connection ceases and they stop...you'll get good at timing when to turn them off :)

Aye it becomes a fine art.. Though the later defenders had a park switch. so ya could change all the gubbins and fit later wipers with Park switch.

Mine parks on an 89 but intermitantly is trying to bash the ****ing wash jet housing off:).

Do you think you can have one but not the other:confused:

new park switch required i think think i've heard this before
i have a B reg (85) 90 and that self parks

mines a 99 and the fronts park..the rear simply stops anywhere itsw switched off........but the self park switches are available on ebay

The park switch is under the connector block on the motor. Secured by one screw, if I remember correctly. Easy to change and cheep as chips.

ive a 98 that does and an 89 that dont. but the dash over moter looks like someone tried the hit it with an hammer fix. which hasnt worked by the way
