If any one has a problem with some of the washer or wiper functions not working properly and are about to spend a fortune on a new wiper stalk - don't.
My rear washers didn't work along with the intermittent front wiper variable speeds.
After checking the washer motors out I checked out the stalk - these are apparently prone to the wires getting split where they pass from the stalk to the multi plug. There is plenty of slack bunched up inside and both ends of the plain black wires are numbered 1 - 4. So if you remove the stalk remove the 3 screws on the back it splits in half and you can simply solder the broken ends together. It took me 1/2 an hour in total Christ knows what the main dealer would have taken from me for the stalk to be replaced.
