Hi All,

Having only acquired my 90 on Saturday this is my first post, so go easy on me:)

The start/finish position on both wipers is pants, to say the least. The parked position is "10 o'clock" (rather than sitting horizontal to the windscreen frame, i.e. 9 o'clock) and they sweep round to "12 o'clock", and follow this pattern until I turn them off, and then they won't park anyway (dodgy park switch I guess on the wiper motor, which I can address). I am used to parking them manually, having previously owned a Series 2A and a Lightweight!

But, can anyone give me any clues as to why the wipers are only giving me a partial sweep of the screen? They both move in sync with each other if that helps:confused: Could a faulty parking switch be causing this?

Cheers

Greg

Never had a Landy with "good" wipers. All have been sloppy, wipe what ever area is good for them on the day, and never strong enough to push snow away so the area wiped gets smaller and smaller on snowy days. But it does sound like you also have a dodgy park switch. Check for wear throughout your wiper system, you may be able to improve matters

Mines go past the 12 oclock when its really wet, even using the screen wash they stop about 12o'clock..
The gears wear and so does the cable, I changed the gears(bit that goes through the bulhead on to the wiper arms) a while ago and that made a difference

Thanks chaps for your replies. Judging from your comments it seems my wipers are acting normally then.

Christ, and I thought the wipers on my Series 2A and recently departed Lightweight were ****e!! Compared to my 90 they were brilliant!!!
