Hey all

So I move out into quite a remote village in the Peak District on Friday. I've done the sensible thing and bought a car capable of coping with challenging conditions. An '06 Freelander Adv TD4

I've been advised that a set of winter tyres are a must. So I think I'll get myself another set of wheels for the tyres.

I'd really appreciate your recommendations regards this matter. Wheel sand tyre size, brand etc etc

Thanks

I got a set of 15" for my 2004 hse and rapped them in hankook A/T's very impressed so far.
Summer a set of 17" Uniroyal rain sport very Good

During winter months 16" Michelin Latitude Alpin 215-65 R16 rest of the year 16" Yokohama Geolandar AT/s 215-70-R16.

Both no complaints.

Winter - Conti4X4Contact - it's possible to run these all year round in UK

Summer - ContiSportContact2 - quiet, sticks to the road - excellent high speed tyre. Great for motorways and twisty 'B' roads. Transforms the freelander so's you wouldn't believe what it can do. :D

Get 8 identical wheels and swap them when the clocks change.
