Hi,
Windscreen wipers stopped - of course it was raining!!

fuse blown and replacement fuses blow immediately - new motor or should i look at the relay first? - prior to this the wipers would not do intermittent wipe nor would they return automatically to the home position.
Thanks in advance :scratching_chin:

You could try shorting the relay out but putting it all together it sounds like your motor is in need of some tender loving care

or chucking in the skip

Get genuine wheelboxes as they are cheap enough from a main stealer and you probably won't need to change anything else.

I replaced cable and passenger side wheel box last summer. I remember it was summer because of all the rain:D. The new wheel box was a Britpart and although it works it is sloppy compared to the original part and I will be replacing it when I nextvhavecto take the dash off! I reckon I could have got away with turning the wheel onto an unused part and not even had to replace it but for £30 or thereabouts it doesn't seem worth the risk of chewing another cable.

Oh and I forgot to mention that the replacement park switch I got was also Britpart and it worked a treat.......well if you like your wipers on constantly once you have turned the key in the ignition. I prised open the original and cleaned the contacts up a bit and put it back together and it worked fine. If you do this I would recommend taking a picture of the contact arrangement - unless you are a fan of jigsaws!

Thank you everyone - Busters step by step is great. Genuine part replacement - done. Bring on the rain, er summer, er mud - hell just bring it on
