Hi

This is my first post....
I followed another thread by Busterbus to remove my knackered windscreen wiper motor out of my 110 and then fitted the new one. Problem is that now the wipers only work on the middle speed, not at all on intermittent and I have to hold the stalk up to get it moving fast. I'm guessing I put the mechanism back together wrong but just wondering what I'm looking for/ what to do when I take it apart?

Any help would be great

Tis considered polite to say hello in the introduce yourself section 1st

But whatever.......sounds more like yer stalk is knackered and/or wiring conections

And......:welcome2:

Hi Blue,
Sorry, i didnt notice the introduce yourself bit....was in a bit of a rush last night. will get on that
So i took the mechanism apart this morn, relocated it to check it was right and wired it back in before putting it all back together to test it....same problem as before
so i checked the wiring to the stalk which seems fine (to look at)
then i pulled the relay out and put it back in again and now the wiper motor works on its fastest setting but nothing else....does this indicate a relay issue?

....and now it is working on both upper settings but not on the delayed intermittent one
Did you ever get to the bottom of this? I ask because my wipers stopped working suddenly, the fuse having blown. Long story short, I got the wipers working again by pulling the park switch out of its slot. Now I have both upper settings, but, obviously, no intermittent. Any ideas about what might be causing the park switch to blow the fuse?
