Hi,

Can anyone help! I have two problems. Firstly, the front windscreen washer only squirts from one side of the bonnet. I have taken the pipe off the washer jet and the screenwash is pumping to that point. I have placed a needle down the jets and also tried to blow air through them with an air line but with no success. This to me seems to be the problem. There appears to be some sort of sensor wired to the screen jet - has anyone got any ideas what I need to do?

Second problem. My rear screenwasher only seems to trickle screenwash. I have similarly placed a needle in the jets etc but again have had little luck.

I would be grateful of any advice and suggestions to try,
Thanks,
Mike

It's not a sensor it's a heated washer to stop it freezing

buy new washer jets - replace washer jet - test - adjust - test again

Reward yourself with a beer :)

Are you in a hard-water area? Is the nozzle limescaled up? If so I've found the Tesco's limescale remover (usually reserved for toilet use) is blinding stuff. Just drop it in a little cup of the stuff for 1/4 hour then rinse and replace.

White spirit vinegar does the job too:)

there are non return valves inside the jets which block up, you can remove the jet and carefully split them and clean them out or spend £10 on new ones off ebay.thhis is the same for the rearwasher but the non return valve is in the pipe to the windscreen washer motor its rubber and is quite easy to remove and clean.

Thanks for all the replies. I have ordered replacement jets and hopefully that will solve the problem! Cheers again
