It'll take some stretching, the nozzle is 4mm diameter and the existing tube is 2mm internal diameter. I'm just going to glue the 2mm tube in a bit of 4mm tube. I've been thinking about recovering the dash whilst it's off, it's not too bad, just a small split in the vinyl but I'm worried that I'll make a pigs ear of it and then I will have ruined the dash which are virtually irreplaceable for one in good nick.

It's one problem after another, albeit little problems but infuriating. Whilst trying to line the dash up with the screw holes, I've managed to snap a big chunk off the driver side vent, the fantail piece under the dash. To replace it, the instrument pod will need to come out. Also, when I screw the panal back on holding the heater controls, they no longer move easily and to top it off the replacement nozzle is leaking on the inside. I also seem to have a piece of plastic and half a dozen screws that I can't account for. I might just leave the blasted dash off, at least with it off I can see what is in the tray underneath it.

Nice. I had to break the dodgy nozzle off cos the nut was seized on. The new nozzle had a different pipe size to the original and I managed to snap a big chunk off the driver side air vent fish tail whilst putting the dash top back. I'm waiting delivery of the new fishtail before putting the dash top back on. Although, I kinda like the look of it with the dash top off

How did you remove the top dash screw that is directly behind the metal strip that separates the two windscreen panes? It's so close to it that I can't get a screwdriver at it. It must have been put in before the screen was fitted.Col

Well, I know this is a late reply, but I used a hex driver bit and a small tongue-and-groove plier. Tricky, but it worked, and I didn't have to undo the roof or windows.

I managed to get it out using a hex bit held with a brake bleed spanner, it took a bit of time but it came out.
