I have the windows on the red landrover at the moment as shown April 20, 2008 038.jpg
but would love to get a set of the ones on the green one here gbs-02.jpg
Are these available anywhere to buy, make or acquire?

I like the roof rack on the green one. Is the red a 1-ton pickup? I wonder if they are both custom body's on the rear from parts at the salvage yard.

The ones on the various websites are the rounded corner copies of the current ones, at least as far as I have found so far. Its the older original rectanglar ones shown I would like to get my hands on.

The ones on the green 109 are original pattern windows. You can buy replacement glass panels. However the original frames are difficult to get. It's the bottom internal support made of aluminum that's probably obsolete. The rest of the window is made up of channel strip , retaining brackets etc. Quite a lot of bits. Instead of trying to do it that way, you could try to source a complete secondhand side panel (2), as they are OE again difficult to get. They give a true period look. That green landy looks fantastic, is it yours?

On this topic... I do have the sliding windows.
I've been looking all over for that little round "boss" for the window catch on the sliding rear windows (for the hard top tropical roof). They don't make them anymore, and so super difficult to find. Does anyone know where I can get one of these. The USA and UK suppliers I've looked at online don't have them. Is there anyone anywhere on the planet who might be able to sell me one of these and send to USA? Part number is 332329.

Thanks!

The ones you like are original spec and whilst you can get the glass and runners and bits I think you'll find that the frames and mounts are now unobtainium. That's why there's a big market in retro windows. I'm a series purist and have those windows but they are a fiddle to maintain and keep secure. Worst parts are the lower runners and drain holes. Helps if you've got an original hard top.

Can't see the pictures but PA Blanchard appear to have them in stock:

My station wagon has sliding Windows, except they don't slide. The bottom channel looks like a widow box cos it's that full of moss and rain gets in easily. They might look better initially but I would prefer the rounded, watertight windows.

The square ones look nicer (in my view) but they are less secure. I have the rounded ones, they are usually covered from the inside for security so they are a bit of a waste of space. The only one that is really usefull is the nearside front as it very helpfull when pulling out of blind tee junctions.

Thanks! I just ordered the window-catch-nut 332329. And thanks for another great source for parts, or as you'd say "bits" or odds and sods!

And the catches on those windows cost a fortune. Go on ask how I know!
Yep, especially if you're in USA. As of today, I literally had to piece together one catch assembly from 4 suppliers (catch, bolt, nut, washers) totalling around USD70.00. Fortunately, I only had one missing catch to deal with.
