Windows and sunroof etc all worked fine
Took out driver's seat and changed heating element
Replaced seat
Hot bum works fine
Windows sunroof and mirrors now dont work
As far as I know no wires were trapped and all the connectors on the BECM were secure
Fuse 22 ok
Is there anything else that I could have done wrong?
Please, Ta

Nope nothing on dashboard
Nanocom has 12v on all the window and sunroof bits

I'd be following back where the wires from the switchpack go. Quick and easy to undo it and have a peek. Guessing down the side of the console and under the seat with maybe a connector under there? Need to check wiring diagram in RAVE. I think the earth point is next to the BECM. Has that been knocked off?

Thanks folks
I took the complete seat out.
I havent had seat out again to check cables but had a look and couldnt see anything wrong.
I took the decorative plastic bit off and checked all the cables into BECM
I couldnt get nanocom to move windows but may not have been doing it correctly. I was looking at the voltages etc on BECM whilst I think that to work the windows you need to use another screen.

Update
Had seat out again today and could not find any trapped wires etc.
The windows work using nanocom.
Does that mean its the switch pack is busted?

Pretty unlikely that all switches on the switch pack would fail at the same time.

Thanks Datatek
The last time the pack packed in about three years ago, the whole lot died at once.
Tempted to use nanocom to operate but if it disconnects while driving will that cause BECM to go into meltdown?

Thanks Datatek

Think you can only get into BECM diag mode with ign off can't you?

That will teach you to be a whooze, heated seat indeed
Seats? luxury, when I were a lad we sat on box nailed 't floor :(

Ha ha ha I must admit the heated seat is terrific. Never had one before and love it.
Just got my series 3 back and that is what seats are like
Thanks for all your replies sorry I had no internet for a few days

Ah so I cannot open windows etc on nanocom as I drive?
You can stop, turn off, plug in your Nanocom, open the windows, shut down and unplug the Nanocom, re-start and drive off. Simples:rolleyes::D:D:D

Or you could just fix the fault.

I could say more (such as winding windows with t' handle) but I'm concerned about outstaying my welcome !
Has anyone noticed that we don't actually own the cars, rather they own us ;)
