Hi,does anyone know if theres a repair kit for the front electric window winder mechanism as my cable has stripped itself and clogged up the motor.or better still where i can buy a new job lot.:D
 
Hi there, I have just had the same problem this week. Had to buy a second hand regulator for £50 from a breakers yard.

nick you could of got a brand new one from paddocks for about 57 quid:eek:
regulator only though, look under body section:rolleyes:
feck me buy a disco:D its only £27.50

They quoted me £75 when I phoned.

as i said in my last post BUY A DISCO OR DEFENDER they are cheaper for parts:D ( and don't break down as much) :D :D :D :D :rolleyes:

Cheers for that mate, but our lass wont have one. They are too big for her to drive and we dont need 2 cars.

but i'm now tryin to talk my mrs into lettin me have a defender while she has the disco:D
i think i'm half way there coz her car suzuki baleno has a oil leak from the bellhousing on the gearbox:eek:
an its gonna cost about £200 for the clutch alone:eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
60quid+vat for defender/ disco:D thats more like it:D

an to top it off its gonna take about a month ta get one:eek: japanees ****e:mad:
 
I really want a disco but there is no converting her. She likes her Hippo and thats the top and bottom of it.

Yeah thats the only prob with getting a slitty, parts are pricey and are hard as fook to get hold of.

and it drives like a fookin dodgem( a fast dodgem) but its still a dodgem
 
Are you sure the frayed cable hasnt just caught or jammed the spindle? Take the regulator off and have a look. Go for the £3 bike brake cable fix if the regulator is still working. search for the brake cable method.

is that all them discos are fetching these days - i knew they were poor at holding onto their value but thought it was better than that:D
