Beware, if you PC runs Windows 10 and you use RAVE, updating to version 20H2 disables Adobe so RAVE no longer runs.
I need to do more research to find out if this can be overcome, otherwise I will be rolling back to an earlier version of Win 10.

I fell foul of this, not found a solution so far. Luckily i have an old laptop with win 7 on it.

I tried that, and every other combo, no luck

Right click the Rave icon youd usually click to run
Click on Properties
Click on the Compatibility tab.
Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for box.
Select windows 98/windows ME
Click apply at the bottom of the window

Same happened to me. Set compatibility mode to Win98/ME and works again.

Have you still got the old Adobe 4 installed somewhere? Or dump it into the same folder.

Never had any version installed just the version that is bundled into rave

That changes the situation, now it as tries to open but I get an error message "file does not exist"
repeatedly, eventually it does open. Thanks for that

Have to see if that can be improved upon.
Bloody Microshyte, RAVE worked fine on Win 10 1909

You could also maybe try changing it to "run as admstrator" as well
