hi

yet another question, i noticed when i got my freelander in oct that the passenger rear window doesnt open. I took off the door card and noticed the window regulator wire has snapped, however the motor does work. So my question is has anyone bought a wire repair kit off flea buy or is it better to fork out for a new regulator

cheers

Bought two repair kits now from e-crofting for the front windows, they are great value and if you follow the instructions will last a lifetime.

Have tried these kits, as have other people I know. All have failed. The cables (stainless steel) are great, the adhesive seems to be the weak link. I found a push bike brake/gear cable £3, and a solderless nipple, pennies, worked better.

My offside drivers door regulator has stopped working cable have snapped and the electrical feed has pulled out of the motor connecting socket so I have no idea which way around the two coloured wires go on. Can anyone advise?

Try connecting them up and see if the window goes up when expected if not switch them round and recheck.

No it reverse the polarity to move the window up/down so no damage will be done in this instance

Thanks. The plug is not the problem as I know that only fits one way. It is the case that the coloured wires have broken off the plug and I could not work out which way they fit to the one way plug.
