Hi, (N Reg Disco 300TDi) My drivers window has been stuck for quite some time, I have replaced the mechanism, the motor works when it's not connected to the mechanism. As soon as I connect it to the mechanism it doesnt want to know. It seems to lack the power to drive the mechanism. Currently got a bit of wood in the door holding the window up, not ideal with the weather as it is.
Any ideas welcomed.

hi i would guess loom threw door broken wires they can crimp in the door check the rubber case it see and crimping on it.

Thanks, it's not a power supply problem, the cog that connects to the toothed quadrant thingy is pretty difficult to turn (needs pliers) but when I connect it up and activate the switch it works, makes a bit of a horrid noise though. But when I connect it to the mechanism it doesnt do anything. I dont want to splash for a new motor or spend an hour in a scrappies stripping one out to find I've still got the same problem.

Sussed it. On the replacement mechanism, the wee hole where the spindle on the toothed gear wheel on the motor goes through has been punched through during manufacture had some jaggy burs that were fouling the gear wheel and preventing it from turning. Cleaned it up with a wee grinding bit on a drill. Put it back together and it works a treat. Hope this makes sense and maybe helps someone else at some point.
