So I’m looking at buying a disco 2 and the front windscreen is missing a trim section it looks like in the top right, and some one has siliconed the rear passenger side sky light boot window.

I want to know if these things are easily fixed.

the windscreen frame seems to look a little scabby under the trim and I guess a new windscreen trim is needed and probably sealant, I’m guessing this area isn’t prone to any major issues.
And the rear sky light being siliconed is to stop a leak from a failed seal I guess, are they easy to replace like a glass out and new seal in liked of job. Or are the sky lights bonded into place and a pain.

thanks

Look for another one to buy unless the rest of the car is perfect and chassis is rust free. There's plenty to choose from.
Leaks are common with Disco's so if its been bodged to fix a leak then there's probably other things that have been bodged too.!

Morning, there aren’t that many good Late v8’s around it is a solid car other than that. Are the sky lights not fixable then?

When you say Skylights do you mean Sunroof or Alpine windows.?
Sunroofs are easily removed and repaired with a bit of work. Alpine lights I have no idea but someone should be along who will have a better idea.
I removed, serviced and got both my sunroofs and drain tubes leak free and fully working in a day or two with dry weather.
Plenty of posts on how to on here.

Yeah sorry new to landys, it’s the alpine windows and a little further reading suggests it’s bonded. That’s actually good news I feel as taking it out and properly bonding it should seal it I would think.
If anyone is an experiences with that it would be useful to hear.
