Hows about some very dark window tint, cheap and effective :)

I did my alpine windows. Because they constantly leaked an smashed when off roading through heavy trees, bushes, etc. used 1mm mild sheet, rivets and tiger seal. They don't leak anymore and are super tough.

+1 I reckon that's an excellent idea and simple to do I imagine?

Does it make the inside of the vehicle much darker?

No. Hardly notice it. If u didnt know they wer done and u got in u wudnt know any difference. First time they havnt leaked since I've owned her aswel.

thinking of doing that to mine already got rear windows plated. Did you bend it to shape first or just rely on rivets and tiger seal to keep its shape? that looks like a whole lot of rivets for each side as well

About every 2". Wanted to make sure got a good seal. Sick of the bloody things leaking. I rolled that as it was a bit heavy that steel but it was lying round and I was bored so saved spending anything. But it stops any flexing and when rain, bushes, trees hit it doesn't make a big echoey bang noise if u get wat I mean. Haha.
