Hello all,

Can anyone reccomend a good supplier for glazing channels / seals ? The window in the drivers door of my lightweight is about to part company with rest of the vehicle!

The door top seems solid so I'm figuring on just (!) replacing the glazing channels.

Some one must of done it before..................

Haven't done it (fitted Defender doors with windy ups to my III), but I watched "A 4x4 is born" the other day (the whole series was on from start to finish last weekend on Discovery real time or something & as I'm to tight to buy the DVD I watched the lot - Excellent programme) & it looks pretty straight forward. Went through it step by step.

For the parts: http://www.paddockspares.com/shop/system/index.html

Are worth a go. I've just checked & they do the glazing channels & putty. I ordered some stuff online from them recently & they seem pretty slick.

Hope that helps though it's not full instructions as I haven't done it meself.

I'm pretty sure the series 3 club manufactures a plastic version that won't go mouldy after 6 months of British weather. I don't know their contact details but I'm sure they're on the wibbly wobbly web somewhere...

Try Paddocks in Matlock, Derbyshire. They sell glazing channel in 2m lengths and its not expensive. They also do mail order.

paddocks in matlock should take about half an hour per window just make sure you've got plenty of short countersunk self tappers barry
