I'm about to order a set of new door tops. Mine is a 1970 S2A. At the moment it has S3 type plastic catches under the windows.
I'm trying to decide whether to opt for the same or fit the S2 catches above the glass.
My choice is about usefullness, safety and security. We do quite a bit of mileage as a camper and are not bothered about orginality.
suggestions please?

I would put both on....neither will be much use though cos you can bend the door top over if you really want to get in anyway
I used to have a Mr Bean type lock on my defender.

One of these or a variant ?

I would use earlier one as the series 3 type allows water into the door top internal.

I think that could be the decider, water has got in and corroded the current ones away. I'm getting galv ones plus new window strips.

Like the look of that might use on my 101...could even incorporate electric fob locking...

Thought you had done a conversion...looked a while ago but couldnt find thread...looks good...going to have a go myself...once I sort some other bits...
